Summary
Senior Africa50 role leading the assessment, structuring and execution of transport and ICT infrastructure development investments across Africa.
About the role
The Senior Investment Associate manages transaction workstreams with substantial autonomy, leads diligence and stakeholder engagement, and helps drive selected infrastructure projects toward investment approval and financial close.
Key responsibilities
Lead the structuring of project-development and equity investments and contribute to negotiations with sponsors, lenders and public authorities.
Manage financial, commercial, technical, legal and ESG due diligence workstreams.
Prepare decision materials and lead Africa50's contribution to portfolio project development.
Build relationships with infrastructure companies, institutional partners, lenders, investors and government stakeholders.
Monitor portfolio companies and guide junior investment professionals.
Key requirements
Seven to ten years of relevant experience in transport or ICT infrastructure development, project finance, investment, PPP/concession advisory, private equity, a DFI or investment banking.
Advanced project-finance modelling and valuation skills, with infrastructure transaction experience.
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, law or another relevant discipline; postgraduate study is an advantage.
Excellent English; French is an advantage. African or other emerging-market experience is strongly preferred.
