About the role
The Senior Investment Analyst owns complex analysis and defined transaction workstreams within Africa50's Project Development team. The role helps assess structuring options, develop investment recommendations and advance infrastructure projects towards approval and financial close.
Key responsibilities
Own complex project-finance models, scenario analysis and investment-structuring assessments.
Screen opportunities and assess commercial, financial, contractual and risk considerations.
Coordinate multidisciplinary diligence and support negotiations with public authorities, sponsors, contractors, lenders and investors.
Prepare investment-committee materials, briefing notes and transaction documentation.
Monitor approved projects and portfolio companies, including financial and operational performance.
Key requirements
Three to five years of experience in infrastructure project development, project finance, investment banking, private equity, a DFI, an IPP/developer or transaction advisory.
Bachelor's degree from a recognised university, business school or engineering school; an MBA or MSc is an advantage.
Strong project-finance modelling, valuation, transaction and investment-memorandum skills.
Professional English communication; French is an advantage. Africa and emerging-market experience is valued.
