About the role

Africa50 is a pan-African infrastructure investor and asset manager. This Senior Investment Analyst role supports infrastructure project development investments through financial modelling, research and analysis to facilitate sound investment decisions for bankable projects across Africa.

Key responsibilities

Build and maintain complex project finance models with sensitivity and scenario analyses

Analyse capital structures, project financing and returns under various assumptions

Conduct industry, market and company research

Participate in all stages of Africa50’s project processing cycle from development through disbursement

Coordinate due diligence across financial, technical, commercial, legal and ESG workstreams

Support project development investments focused on achieving bankable outcomes

Assist senior team members in negotiations with sponsors, lenders and public authorities

Prepare project documentation for internal and external stakeholders

Key requirements

2–5 years’ experience in infrastructure project development or project finance

Experience from project finance teams at investment banks, power IPPs, DFIs, advisory firms or infrastructure private equity funds

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering

Fluent English; French required, Portuguese advantageous

Strong financial modelling and valuation experience

Understanding of PPP structuring and project finance

Nice to have

Strong understanding of power and transport sectors

Prior African infrastructure knowledge and regional relationships

Living experience in emerging markets

MBA or MSc

Based in Casablanca, Morocco. This role regularly requires late nights, weekends and travel.
