About the role
KPMG East Africa is recruiting a Senior Associate for its Pan-Africa Infrastructure Advisory team. The team delivers end-to-end advisory services across infrastructure project lifecycles, supporting African governments, development partners, financiers, and developers in closing the continent's infrastructure gap. The role spans the full project cycle from strategy and project preparation through financing, delivery, and asset management.
Key responsibilities
Support advisory engagements across all infrastructure project lifecycle phases
Lead financial feasibility studies, business case development, and commercial model analyses
Prepare and review financial models for investment decisions and deal structuring
Provide strategic input on project structuring, procurement, risk allocation, and financing
Draft client-ready reports, proposals, and technical deliverables
Conduct market research and stakeholder consultations
Support business development materials and client presentations
Build relationships with government agencies, financiers, and advisers
Mentor associates and contribute to thought leadership
Key requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, public policy, or a related field
4-7 years of experience in infrastructure advisory, project finance, PPP, or transaction services
Demonstrated financial advisory expertise including modelling and project structuring
Exposure to African or emerging-market infrastructure deals
Nice to have
Professional certification: ACCA, CFA, or CPA
