Summary
Meridiam’s Libreville team manages existing infrastructure investments and develops new projects in Gabon and Central Africa. This VIE works with the Central Africa Investment Director and the Société Autoroutière du Gabon on the Transgabonaise road concession, alongside other Gabonese assets. The work spans construction and operating performance, project finance, contractual obligations and investment analysis. The analyst will maintain financial models, support governance and lender reporting, and assess new opportunities with technical, legal, financial and ESG advisers. The assignment provides exposure to infrastructure projects from development and financing through operations and asset management.
Key responsibilities
Monitor operating, financial and ESG performance across Meridiam’s Gabonese assets and prepare monthly dashboards.
Prepare materials for boards, technical committees and shareholder meetings; track project-company action plans.
Monitor concession, construction and operating obligations, including SAG works, contractual claims and project risks.
Review technical, financial and health, safety and environmental reporting and support environmental and social compliance.
Update project financial models and analyse performance; assist relationships with lenders and development finance institutions.
Research sectors and markets to identify investment opportunities in Gabon and Central Africa.
Develop preliminary financial analyses and business plans, and support commercial proposals and tender responses.
Assist technical, legal, ESG and financial due diligence and prepare investment notes for internal committees.
Key requirements
Engineering, business-school or leading university master’s qualification, specialising in infrastructure, energy, public works, finance, economics or project management.
Strong quantitative and financial analysis, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Excellent written and spoken French and English, including clear drafting and synthesis.
Interest in infrastructure, public-private partnerships and African economic development.
Ability to organise work independently and interact with senior stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
VIE eligibility: at least 18 and under 29 at departure; French or European Economic Area nationality.
French and dual nationals must satisfy applicable French national-service obligations.
Nice to have
Initial experience in investment banking, infrastructure funds, consulting, project finance or project management.
Familiarity with project financial models.
