About the role
This is a Volontariat International en Administration (V.I.A.) analyst-level position based at Proparco's East Africa Regional Office in Nairobi, Kenya. The role supports private equity and venture-capital origination, investment analysis, deal structuring, financial modelling, and portfolio and value-creation work across the East Africa region. Proparco is the private-sector financing arm of the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) Group, deploying equity and quasi-equity investments in companies and funds across Africa and other emerging markets to support sustainable and inclusive development.
Key responsibilities
Support private equity and venture capital deal origination across East Africa
Conduct investment analysis on target companies and funds
Assist with structuring of equity and quasi-equity investment transactions
Perform financial modelling and valuation work
Contribute to portfolio monitoring and value-creation activities across the East Africa portfolio
Key requirements
1–3 years of relevant professional experience (e.g. private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or transaction services)
English proficiency at C1 level minimum
Analyst-level profile with demonstrated finance or investment skills
Eligibility to participate in the French V.I.A. (Volontariat International en Administration) programme
