Originate and execute mezzanine and equity investments, then manage positions through value creation and exit at RMB.
About the role
RMB is recruiting a transactor to develop investment opportunities with its client-facing teams and take responsibility for financing positions across their lifecycle. The role combines deal origination, financial analysis and transaction execution with ongoing management of investments and underperforming assets.
Key responsibilities
Assess cash flows, build financial models and structure equity or mezzanine funding around commercial and credit risks.
Negotiate pricing and terms, prepare investment and credit committee papers and coordinate legal execution.
Monitor investments, address underperformance and work with clients on value creation and eventual realisation.
Key requirements
Honours or postgraduate degree in business, engineering or finance.
Two to five years in a comparable environment, ideally leveraged finance, mezzanine finance or private equity.
Ability to originate and execute complex transactions and assess commercial drivers, investment risk and credit risk.
Nice to have
CA(SA), CFA or a similar professional qualification.
