About the role
Open Capital Advisors, founded in 2010, has completed 1,900+ engagements across 35 countries in Africa and employs over 100 full-time staff from 15+ nationalities. Senior Project Leaders direct multiple concurrent client engagements, act as trusted advisors to development partners and investors, and coach junior staff while collaborating with senior leadership.
Key responsibilities
Oversee multiple projects addressing diverse client challenges across sectors
Lead strategy development, capital structuring and creative problem-solving initiatives
Execute results-oriented solutions with measurable impact and implementation support
Manage project timelines, work plans and key deliverables
Coach and develop Analysts and Associates
Support business development and network building
Key requirements
8–12 years’ proven experience at a top global management consulting firm, investment firm or comparable leadership background
Demonstrated ability managing complex stakeholder situations
Experience managing and coaching teams
Strong communication and analytical capabilities
Professional English fluency; French required for Dakar applicants
Nice to have
Africa work experience
Interest in sectors including agriculture, energy, financial services or healthcare
MBA or advanced degree
French or African language fluency
Positions available in Nairobi, Dakar and Lagos. Work permit sponsorship available except for Dakar and Lagos applicants who require existing local authorisation.
