About the role
Africa50 is a pan-African infrastructure investor and asset manager. This Senior Investment Analyst role contributes to the AGIA programme, a project development fund supporting green infrastructure across Africa, through financial modelling, analysis and research to facilitate sound investment decisions.
Key responsibilities
Build and maintain complex project finance models with sensitivity analyses and scenario modelling
Analyse capital structures and project financing returns under various assumptions
Conduct industry, market and company research
Participate in the complete project processing cycle from development through disbursement
Coordinate due diligence across financial, technical, commercial, legal and ESG areas
Support project development investments focused on achieving bankable outcomes
Support negotiations with sponsors, lenders and public authorities
Prepare project documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Key requirements
2–5 years’ experience in infrastructure project development or project finance from investment banks, power IPPs, DFIs, advisory firms or infrastructure private equity funds
Bachelor’s degree; MBA or MSc preferred
Strong understanding of power and transport sectors
PPP project structuring and project finance expertise
Financial modelling and valuation experience
Fluent English; French required
Nice to have
African infrastructure knowledge and existing African relationships
Living experience in emerging markets
Portuguese language skills
