Summary
Manage IDC development-debt investments after approval, strengthening portfolio performance and supporting investee value creation.
About the role
The senior associate will oversee business partners and debt exposures across the investment lifecycle after disbursement. The focus is on financial performance, credit quality, covenant compliance and interventions that preserve value and support sustainable development outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Monitor portfolio performance, impairments and credit risks and engage business partners on corrective actions.
Assess drawdowns, covenants, restructuring proposals, cash collection and exit options.
Prepare committee submissions and work with investee management and boards on value-creation initiatives.
Key requirements
CA(SA), an accounting degree with postgraduate study, or an engineering/science degree with honours or postgraduate study.
Eight to ten years of post-investment monitoring and portfolio-management experience.
Financial analysis, credit and stakeholder-management skills; willingness to travel.
Nice to have
MBA or project-management credentials.
