About the role
ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms (ARISE IIP) is a developer and operator of industrial parks and Special Economic Zones across Africa. The Relationship Manager - ARISE Implant is embedded at Afreximbank to support the strategic objective of promoting export development finance within ARISE IIP's SEZ network. The role provides banking and financial solutions to SEZ clients, drives transaction execution, and serves as a key liaison between financial institutions and ARISE IIP clients to ensure timely and successful deal closure.
Key responsibilities
Develop innovative and appropriate financial solutions tailored to client projects within ARISE IIP Special Economic Zones
Facilitate access to banking products and enable efficient customer onboarding through structured processes and systems
Serve as the primary liaison between banks and clients
Structure, negotiate, and support the closing of business transactions with financial institutions
Ensure successful transaction execution and timely availability of funds in line with banking guidelines
Analyse operational and financial performance of potential client companies
Review investment proposals, assess risks and benefits, and conduct structured project discussions with stakeholders
Manage end-to-end communication between the Bank and clients, including information gathering, execution tracking, and feedback processes
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and regional/global lending ecosystem partners
Key requirements
Postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, or related fields; or a recognised professional qualification in Banking/Financial Services
Minimum 8 years' experience as a Relationship Manager within the banking industry
Proven sales and client relationship management experience in corporate banking
Strong knowledge of banking practices in Africa
Strong credit analysis, documentation, and relationship management skills
In-depth understanding of corporate banking products
Experience in structured trade finance, syndication, and project financing
Strong analytical and financial structuring capability
Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
Strong written and spoken English
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal and people management skills

Additional language skills beyond English
