About the role
The Regional Manager leads IDC’s regional office and builds a pipeline of investable projects with business, government and development partners. The remit combines project and corporate finance, SME readiness and transaction quality with team leadership, regional strategy and portfolio sustainability.
Key responsibilities
Originate and develop industrial and SME opportunities aligned with regional priorities and IDC sector strategies.
Guide teams through financial assessments, due diligence and credit submissions and help convert pipelines into funded transactions.
Coordinate post-investment support and monitor client sustainability and development outcomes.
Manage regional strategy, budgets, stakeholder partnerships and staff development.
Key requirements
Relevant postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification.
Eight to ten years in project, corporate or small-business finance and deal origination.
At least five years leading and managing teams.
Experience assessing debt/equity transactions and engaging senior public- and private-sector stakeholders.
Nice to have
MBA or master’s degree.
