Summary
The African Development Bank is recruiting Regional Hub Directors to lead regional growth platforms, strengthen operational delivery and expand development impact across African member countries.
About the role
This international senior leadership role oversees the performance, portfolio health and operational delivery of an AfDB regional growth platform. The Director works across country offices, sector teams and external partners to advance regional integration, private-sector investment, resource mobilisation and high-impact development programmes.
Key responsibilities
Lead the operational performance, portfolio quality and delivery of the assigned regional growth platform.
Strengthen regional investment activity, resource mobilisation and private-sector engagement.
Coordinate country and regional strategies, bankable-project development and programme implementation.
Build high-performing multidisciplinary teams and senior partnerships across governments, financial institutions and development partners.
Represent the Bank and maintain accountability for results, risk management and efficient resource use.
Key requirements
Master's degree in finance, business administration, business law or a related discipline.
At least ten years of relevant international development-finance or senior financial-institution experience, including substantial recent senior-management responsibility.
Demonstrated leadership of complex African projects, portfolios, partnerships and high-performing teams.
Strong English or French; excellent Portuguese is mandatory for the Lusophone regional platform, in addition to English or French.
