About the role
The Vice President will lead and deliver Equity Finance and Investments solutions within Standard Bank's Real Estate Finance franchise. The position covers the end-to-end design and execution of client solutions, including origination, structuring, financial analysis, valuation, risk coordination and transaction implementation across South Africa and other African markets.
Key responsibilities
Lead small and moderately complex Equity Finance and Investments transactions
Support senior team members on larger or more complex solutions
Manage transactions across the full deal lifecycle
Design and implement client-focused equity-finance and investment solutions
Originate and execute transactions across South African and African markets
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary deal teams
Conduct financial analysis and prepare transaction reports
Review, challenge and validate financial models and valuations
Coordinate with specialist risk teams
Monitor portfolio risk and exposure
Interpret relevant lending and regulatory requirements
Lead client engagement and present innovative financing solutions
Contribute to Real Estate Finance revenue and client-experience targets
Key requirements
Postgraduate degree in finance or accounting
Approximately 5–7 years of banking experience
Background in advisory, private equity or debt solutions
Experience leading and coordinating transaction teams
South African or broader African market experience
Knowledge of local and global lending and equity-finance products
Strong financial-analysis, valuation and modelling-review skills
Experience working with specialist risk teams
Portfolio-monitoring and regulatory-framework experience
Strong client-management and presentation capabilities
