About the role
responsAbility is recruiting a private-equity professional to manage an African fund portfolio and execute investments into emerging-market funds, co-investments and secondaries, while supporting fund governance and fundraising. The mandate combines primary fund selection with portfolio oversight, rather than focusing on a single operating-company investment. It also includes LP advisory committee representation, giving the role a direct governance dimension across the fund portfolio.
Key responsibilities
Conduct fund due diligence and execute fund, co-investment and secondary transactions.
Monitor portfolio funds and represent responsAbility on LP advisory committees.
Support investment documentation and fundraising.
Key requirements
Seven to fifteen years of private-equity investment experience, including five years in fund-of-funds work.
Emerging-markets experience; DFI experience is advantageous.
Professional English; other languages welcome.
