Summary

Advise on FASA’s fund investments and I&P’s investment structures, with responsibility for legal due diligence, documentation and fund governance.

About the role

Working with the CFO and FASA programme director, the legal officer will support fund-of-funds commitments and the structuring of I&P investment vehicles. The remit spans investment documentation, external counsel and governance across relevant European, US and Mauritian legal frameworks.

Key responsibilities

Review fund agreements, private-placement materials and side letters and coordinate legal due diligence.

Support investment-vehicle structuring and governance, including work involving Mauritius, Luxembourg and France.

Manage external counsel and legal documentation throughout fund commitments and related investment activity.

Key requirements

Law degree or qualification as an admitted lawyer, with around five years of post-qualification experience in relevant legal work.

Fund formation and investment-documentation experience, including relevant regulatory frameworks such as AIFMD.

Strong English; French is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

Direct experience with Mauritian structures and fund regulation.
