This Junior Transaction Officer role in Cape Town offers candidates an opportunity to work in impact investments, supporting back and middle-office functions across the firm’s emerging-market portfolio.
Key responsibilities
Draft contractual documents including promissory notes, loan agreements and waivers with senior staff and legal support
Manage continuous investment administration involving cash flow tracking and legal documentation
Coordinate with the Custody Bank for disbursement execution
Execute foreign exchange trades in deliverable and non-deliverable currencies
Coordinate across Investment Officers, Transaction Officers and investees to obtain and track constitutional, legal, financial and regulatory documentation
Key requirements
Finance, Law, Business Administration or related degree from a recognised institution
3–5 years’ experience in a Back/Middle Office or Finance environment
English and Spanish proficiency (mandatory)
Proficiency with AI tools, MS Office, Excel and Word
Independent, accurate and efficient working style with a collaborative approach
Strong analytical and organisational capabilities
Interest in impact investing
Nice to have
Additional languages beyond English and Spanish
