Lead the review, turnaround and exit of distressed infrastructure investments across PIDG's Africa and Asia portfolio.
About the role
PIDG is appointing a senior investment professional to resolve distressed infrastructure exposures across its Africa and Asia portfolio. The role assesses recovery options and takes turnaround or exit recommendations through investment governance, then leads advisers and project partners through implementation. Nairobi, London and Singapore are offered locations.
Key responsibilities
Review distressed assets, governance, partner capabilities and performance against approved plans and investment documents.
Develop asset-level turnaround or exit strategies, valuation implications, budgets, timelines and risk mitigants for Investment Committee approval.
Lead corporate-finance, legal and insolvency advisers and negotiate implementation with project partners.
Execute approved restructurings or disposals and report progress to ExCo and the Investment Committee.
Key requirements
Extensive emerging-markets experience in M&A, corporate finance, private equity, restructuring, special situations, insolvency or investment exits.
Strong valuation, financial-modelling, shareholder-agreement and negotiation capability.
Experience working across Africa and Asia.
Finance, law or business degree preferred.
