Summary
Senior fund-finance leadership role at ARM-Harith, reporting to the CEO, with end-to-end ownership of the finance function across GP and fund vehicles in Nigeria and Mauritius.
About the role
ARM-Harith is a leading infrastructure private equity platform investing in large and mid-market energy and infrastructure assets across sub-Saharan Africa. A joint venture between ARM (Nigeria's largest non-bank financial services provider) and Harith General Partners, a Pan-African infrastructure fund manager. As the firm scales its successor fund, this Head of Finance role provides full ownership of financial integrity, liquidity management, fund reporting, and regulatory compliance across Nigeria and Mauritius. It is a hands-on leadership position requiring technical depth, a strong control mindset, and sound commercial judgement, with direct Board exposure.
Key responsibilities
Oversee fund accounting and NAV review across all vehicles (Nigeria and Mauritius), ensuring compliance with LPA provisions and investor reporting standards
Supervise and coordinate third-party fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors across jurisdictions
Review and validate capital calls, distributions, and waterfall calculations
Lead annual fund audit processes and coordinate tax structuring, filings, and cross-jurisdictional compliance
Produce monthly management accounts and build detailed P&L, balance sheet, and rolling cashflow forecasts
Monitor firm-level income, expenses, and budgets; ensure compliance with internal controls
Oversee GP commitment tracking, carry modelling, reserves, shareholder loans, and distributions
Develop financial dashboards for Board and Committee reporting
Coordinate with the investment team on valuation inputs and validate documentation for IC and LP reporting
Monitor portfolio cash yield projections and track exposure to FX, counterparty risk, and refinancing timelines
Support exit modelling and distribution forecasting
Ensure compliance with all applicable tax and regulatory obligations (LIRS, FIRS/NRS, SEC, FRCN) and interface with legal/compliance on filings
Strengthen internal control systems, finance policies, and procedures
Maintain audit readiness, support Audit & Risk Committee reporting, and manage the financial risk register
Support data room preparation and investor due diligence alongside Investment, Investor Relations, and Legal/Compliance teams
Respond to LP financial and operational queries; present the finance section during investor due diligence when required
Key requirements
ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualification (mandatory)
Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in private equity, venture capital, or asset management
Good understanding of private equity economics, fund lifecycle, and value creation objectives
Demonstrated experience managing multi-entity fund structures and external fund administrators
Strong IFRS knowledge, particularly fair value accounting under IFRS 13
Experience working with multi-currency fund structures (USD and NGN)
Advanced Excel modelling skills and experience with fund accounting systems
Audit management experience across multiple jurisdictions
Prior experience with Board and committee-level financial reporting
Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving ability
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to produce clear, investor-grade reporting
Fluency in written and spoken English

Prior experience with fund structuring and LP/investor reporting
Exposure to Mauritius fund structures
French language fluency (written and spoken)
