About the role
The Equity Research Associate will join SG Africa Technologies & Services in Casablanca and work closely with senior equity analysts based in London and Paris. The role supports Bernstein's international equity-research platform through company analysis, financial modelling, sector research, client publications and marketing materials.
Key responsibilities
Conduct financial research and analysis on international listed companies
Support preparation of equity-research reports distributed to clients
Assist senior analysts with presentations, pitches and marketing campaigns
Develop sector expertise alongside senior analysts
Collect public information and verify the reliability of sources
Analyse company, sector and economic information
Build and maintain financial and economic models
Ensure models and research deliverables meet Group standards
Develop value-added approaches to data collection and analysis
Prepare regular publications covering sector and market developments
Comply with financial-research regulations and internal procedures
Respond to bespoke client-research requests within compliance requirements
Key requirements
Master's-equivalent degree from an engineering school, business school or university
Academic specialisation relevant to financial analysis
Strong interest in investment and equity analysis
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
Strong written and spoken English and French
Intellectual curiosity and strong attention to detail
Proactive and critical-thinking approach
Ability to work effectively in a demanding, collaborative team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Nice to have
CFA studies completed or planned
Python or VBA programming experience
Statistical-analysis skills
Financial-modelling, valuation or M&A-analysis experience
