About the role
Ashburton Investments is seeking a leader for investment-credit research across listed and unlisted strategies, co-investment vehicles and discretionary portfolios. The remit spans independent underwriting and approval, ongoing portfolio credit oversight and the management of stressed exposures. The role works closely with portfolio managers, legal advisers and investment governance committees.
Key responsibilities
Oversee independent credit analysis, transaction underwriting, cash-flow and covenant assessment, structuring and legal documentation.
Lead portfolio-risk monitoring, distressed-credit workouts and restructurings.
Chair or support investment and credit committees and lead the credit-research team.
Key requirements
MCom, MSc or Honours in finance, investment management, mathematics or a related discipline.
CA(SA) or CFA advantageous.
Approximately 7–10 years in asset management, investment banking or comparable portfolio-credit work.
