About the role
The Corporate Finance Analyst / M&A Analyst works with specialists and associates across transactions, divestitures and strategic advisory engagements. The role combines detailed financial and commercial analysis with practical management of transaction workstreams, data rooms, advisers and decision materials.
Key responsibilities
Build DCF, LBO, merger and sensitivity models and apply appropriate valuation methods.
Analyse financial performance, working capital and debt capacity and develop investment cases and transaction recommendations.
Support due diligence, coordinate information requests and advisers, and maintain transaction trackers and documentation.
Prepare pitch materials, information memoranda, valuation reports and board or client presentations.
Key requirements
Honours degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related discipline.
Completed articles or a three-year graduate/structured development programme in a relevant financial or professional-services organisation.
At least three years of relevant experience after that training, with transaction, financial-analysis or advisory exposure.
Strong financial modelling, valuation, due-diligence and presentation capability.
Nice to have
CA(SA), CFA or equivalent professional qualification; cross-border transaction experience.
