About the role

InfraCredit operates a Clean Energy Funding Programme backed by PIDG and KFW Development Bank to aggregate and finance small-scale energy initiatives, facilitating access to sustainable local currency debt for eligible project sponsors. The programme manages a pipeline of projects valued between NGN 550 million and NGN 15 billion. This Technical Analyst role supports clean energy transactions from due diligence through financial closure.

Key responsibilities

Review technical documents and validate engineering designs, equipment lists and procurement contracts

Ensure projects are technically sound, cost-effective and bankable

Monitor technical milestones and provide stakeholder feedback

Conduct site visits to assess construction progress and operational performance

Prepare technical due diligence reports aligned with industry standards

Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies

Support the Credit Risk Committee and New Business Committee with technical reports

Develop strategic workstreams to de-risk projects through partnerships and procurement initiatives

Key requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy or related field

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the clean energy sector (project development or technical advisory)

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail

Excellent communication and report-writing capabilities

Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally

Due diligence experience on renewable energy technical aspects

Nice to have

Understanding of financial markets and infrastructure project financing, especially clean energy
