About the role
InfraCredit is a Nigerian financial institution providing credit guarantees to enable long-term local currency financing for infrastructure projects. This Assistant Vice President role involves evaluating, structuring and executing credit enhancement opportunities in infrastructure, reporting to the Head of Origination & Structuring.
Key responsibilities
Negotiate and structure financial/credit transaction documentation for long-term, local currency guarantee transactions
Prepare term sheets, conduct due diligence, perform financial modelling and undertake risk analysis
Conduct credit assessment and underwriting of debt transactions
Prepare and present credit papers to management and board committees
Collaborate with external legal counsel on guarantee and transaction agreements
Review borrower financial information and conduct earnings quality assessments
Support new business pitches with customised offerings
Liaise with rating agencies, risk-sharing partners and government agencies on guarantee transactions
Review market needs and identify new guarantee opportunities
Key requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
Postgraduate qualification in Economics, Business, Accounting or MBA
7–10 years of credit and debt capital markets/financial advisory experience
Minimum 5 years in Nigerian banking/financial markets
Familiarity with debt securities and credit transaction regulations
Strong understanding of Nigerian debt capital markets
Proven deal structuring and execution expertise, particularly with guarantee products
Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities

Professional certifications (advantageous but not mandatory)
